Got a good recipe for cooking salmon?
I like BBQ so something to that effect and a recipe or have you used to enjoy not only some at random from a book. normally wrapped in foil with lemon and some herbs, but looking for something new. Thanks AMY WI as the first but what is vegetable oil? This is a cooking oil? I apologize for my ignorance Thanks Claire Blue
Grilled salmon (very good recipe) * 1 1 / 2 pounds salmon fillets lemon pepper to taste * garlic powder to taste * salt to taste 1 / 3 cup soy sauce * 1 / 3 cup brown sugar 1 / 3 cup water * 1 / 4 cup vegetable oil Directions 1. Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder and salt. 2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, water and vegetable oil until sugar dissolves. Place fish in a large plastic bag with zipper with soy sauce mixture, seal, and turn to coat. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. 3. Preheat the grill to medium heat. 4. Lightly oil grill grate. Place the salmon on the preheated grill, and discard marinade. Cooking salmon 6 to 8 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with fork. Grilled salmon with lemon hazelnut sauce * 1 cup hazelnuts 1 / 4 cup juice fresh lemon 1 / 3 cup hazelnut liqueur, and Frangelico * 2 / 3 cup dry sherry 1 / 2 teaspoon kosher salt 1 / 2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper black * 2 tablespoons lemon zest 1 / 4 cup chopped shallots 1 / 3 cup canola or peanut oil * 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets Chinook or King * 1 tablespoon lemon zest, for garnish Directions 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 2. Place hazelnuts on a baking tray and place in preheated oven. Bake until the skins loosen and the nuts turn a light golden, 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool until you can handle. Remove the skin by placing hazelnuts in a kitchen towel, fold it, and rub until the skins fall off. Discard loose skin and cut the nuts into very small pieces by hand. 3. Mix juice lemon, hazelnut liqueur, sherry, and salt in a bowl until the salt has dissolved. Whisk in the pepper, 2 tablespoons lemon enthusiasm, and shallots, drizzle canola oil in while whisking vigorously until completely incorporated. Pour into a plastic bag or glass container, throw fish marinade, then refrigerate 8 hours to 24. 4. Preheat a grill to high heat and lightly oil grate. 5. Remove salmon from marinade, shake off excess, and discard remaining marinade. Cook on preheated grill for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until fish is opaque. Garnish with hazelnuts and lemon zest to serve.
