Vintage Rogue
Fashion shows of today are electrifying with spectacular aspects, emotional and theatrical. The Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) held in the "Dream City" Mumbai during March 29 – April 2, 2008 is a successful example of it. The new millennium was approved with wealth, and amid a crowd of savvy designers fashion, the show forged its own place in the world of fashion. Designers stay to its roots and with years of experience loved the series a sexy look with a touch of period elegance.
The show was scheduled at the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai. This is a joint initiative of Lakme, a name in the beauty industry, and IMG, entertainment and media company and a global leader in event management and fashion weeks. Sample were held at Jamshed Bhabha Theater, NCPA, and the designers exhibited their collections in tents called 'Source', located next to the theater. 57 talented designers showed their collections, and 19 most important fashion stalwarts were present at the fashion show.
JJ Valaya "Country":
JJ Valaya lack impressive show began on 29 March, showing an assortment of clothing and cutting-edge jewelry at attractive name "Paisa". His collections filled the ramp with a vibrant mix of ethnic wear along with Indo-western outfits that permeates a sense of Rajasthani.
Arshiya Fakih Eapen "Araiya"
The collections of designers Arshiya Fakih Eapen title "Araiya" were inspired by the tones of blue, magenta, green, mini micro represented in different styles and shades. Silk fabrics had recorded, and crushed effect, while Lycra, crepe, satin and rubber were given effect. Noori relief jersey dresses with pleated sleeves, decorated with gold, satin dress with puffed sleeves and work with antiques, with silver ornaments and buttons rubber processing were the highlights of the collections of Arshya.
Drashta Sarvaiya:
Drashta collection exhibited on 29 March was an interesting mix trend along with art and fashion. His collections had a strong signature look. Drashta women's wear line was a bright aspect with all cocktails in style in a variety of tunics, coats, jackets, etc. The teams were on the point of rice jersey, chiffon and satin Lycra shaded with inspiring hues of blue green purple, brown, electric, copper, and the ever time color, black. Its curtains were of silk fabric with metallic shades giving a dramatic look.
"Sanjay Malhotra's Night at the Moulin Rogue ":
Sanjay Malhotra collection was titled "A Night at the Moulin Rogue" on April 2 was the combination of Western academic education and clothing of the merger. Silk clothing and gauze found its way into vibrant hues of wine, orange, emerald green and peach. His collections were embellished with Zari for seams, lace with sequin work and embroidered flowers. The elegant white sari with exquisite Pallav designed in sequined red rose was the highlight of his collection. Embellished Jodhpur jackets, lace gown with drapes, peach gowns with black appliqu, black, off the shoulder lace gowns were also portrayed in his collection. Mens Wear also had a place in your collection in a gray suit, silk jacket raw and pleated pants insertion in the back.
Vivek Karunakaran and his "über chic":
Cocktail Collection Karunakaran Vivek's, appears under the title "Uber Chic" reveals that his creativity stayed close to inspiration. Black and gray are the basic colors, while jade and wine hues had their role in the fashion palette. The linen cloth is completely feminine georgette, satin and silk chiffon. Vivek silhouettes were shift dresses with miniskirts, flared skirts waist, empire line dresses and quilted cropped jackets. His collection of designer had padding and folding, adorned with embroidery sequins, as at the cuffs and neck. Double layered satin dress, blocked pleated chiffon dress, silk kimono top with waistband and black jade, shirt equipped with triple color paneling at hem are some of her clothes masterpiece displayed in the show.
