Trip Black

For those family float trips on the Black River in Missouri, young children are bored?
We have been invited to attend a trip flotation with other families through our church. It will be a float trip with every day, and I worry that my children (ages 10-13) are bored with just floating in a river. What would you recommend?
Hi took a year to float on the Black River each year. This is a great river for beginners and children because it is easy to maneuver and there are plenty of places fast or hard. However, I do not recommend taking the rafts of 6 or 8 persons. There are plenty of spots on the river, which are low and you have to drag or carry the rafts through the parties. However, the canoes and do well on the right a cross. A lot of families canoes to get supplies for adults and children and let loose on inner tubes. Again this is a great river for tubing. I like to take a plan for lunch and some snacks can be stopped at the sand bar to eat something different and make a small bathroom. They do allow fishing on the river what if we all like fish you may want to consider a pole or two. Note that you must obtain a fishing license to have them at Wal-Mart and some shops local there. I also want to bring some water guns, beach balls, and some water games (which you can get at Wal-Mart, Target and similar places). Get a large mesh laundry bag to put things in and so you can tie the canoe in case more than dump. I also want to bring towels for your back in canoes and sit on the beach. I just used these seat cushions from the stands it would take to a baseball game that are quite cheap and well when floating if they really will not be a big problem. I think children have a lot of fun and if there are other children who will not be bored. I think you all have a great time! The floats are not as long in the river I would say 6 hours with the arrest and swimming. Be sure to take some hats, sunscreen, and shoes good water. Happy Floating!
